The Broadcasters Of The Phoenix Coyotes

In their fourteen years as a hockey club, the Phoenix Coyotes have made it a point to not only employ veterans amongst their television and radio booths, but to also nurture along young broadcasting talent as well as former players.

The current trio voicing the calls on the television side is made up of broadcast veteran Dave Strader providing play by play, former Phoenix Coyote player Tyson Nash (and recipient of the team’s coveted Man Of The Year award in 2004) supplying the color commentary and longtime Coyotes associate Todd Walsh who dutifully handles the double duty of hosting both the television and radio broadcasts.

In the radio booth, fan favorite Bob Heethius provides the exciting play by play that fans across the state of Arizona tune in to hear every game night. Heethius has been calling the team’s games for the past six seasons, but made his mark previously as the studio host for all of the team’s radio shows, including the popular post-game call-in show “Coyotes Wrap-Up Show” where fans give the aptly nicknamed “Heeter” a piece of their mind after a triumphant Coyotes win or a troubling defeat.

Coyotes television broadcasts air on Fox Sports Arizona while the radio broadcasts can be found on THE FAN 1060 AM.
